Founded in 2020 by Ben Gerlach, the studio emerged from humble beginnings in the basement of a Stafford, Virginia home--hence the unique name. Born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia, Ben's journey includes nine transformative years of military service that took him across the globe, instilling in him a deep appreciation for problem-solving before settling in Stafford with his family.
Since its founding, Basement 20 has grown into a dynamic creative force, partnering with clients nationwide--from energetic startups and established businesses to purpose-driven nonprofit organizations.
